विद्यार्थीको चासो : एसईईपछि विषय रोजाइमा अन्योल

कैलालीको जोशीपुरका रतन धामी एसईई नतिजापछि के विषय अध्ययन गर्ने भन्ने अन्योलमा हुनुहुन्छ । परीक्षामा दुई दशमलव आठ ग्रेड ल्याएका धामीलाई यतिखेर के विषय पढ्ने भन्ने अन्योल बढे्को छ ।

“घरमा बुबाआमाले विज्ञान विषय पढ्नुपर्छ भन्नुभएको छ, मलाई सक्दिन कि भन्ने डर छ”, उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “मलाई लेखा÷अर्थशास्त्र विषय पढ्न मन छ, परिवारले भनेको कुरा सुन्ने कि, मनको कुरा सुन्ने दोधारमा छु ।” एसइईको नतिजापश्चात् अहिले विद्यार्थीबीच कुन विषय लिएर पढ्ने भनेर सबैतिर छलफल हुने गरेको छ ।

बालबालिकाको भोलिको भविष्य कता लैजाने हो भन्ने कुरा पनि उसले अध्ययन गर्ने विषय र क्षेत्रले निर्धारण गर्ने गर्छ । गाउँघरमा राम्रो ग्रेड प्राप्त गर्न नसके र साथीले अध्ययन गरिरहेको विषय आफूले अध्ययन गर्न नपाए अध्ययन नै छाड्ने गरेको पनि देखिन्छ ।

एसईईको नतिजापछि अभिभावक र विद्यार्थीमा कुन विषय पढ्ने, पढ्नलाई कहाँ जाने भन्ने कुराको चर्चा प्रायः सबै परिवारमा चलेको छ । कतिपय अवस्थामा भोलिका दिनमा के बन्ने भन्ने कुराको निर्क्याेल पनि कक्षा १० पछिको अध्ययनले नै निर्धारित गर्ने भएकाले छलफल हुनु सकारात्मक भएको अभिभावक बताउँछन् ।

टीकापुरका रवीन्द्र चौधरीका छोरालाई पनि के पढाउने भन्ने विषयमा परिवार छलफलमा छ । नतिजा राम्राे ल्याएका रवीन्द्रका छोरा सुदीप घरबाहिर गएर पढ्ने आँटमा छैनन् । “म भर्खर १५ वर्ष पूरा भएँ, बुबाआमाले काठमाडौं जान भन्नुभएको छ”, सुदीप भन्नुहुन्छ, “तर मलाई बुबाआमासँगै बसेर यहीँ पढ्न मन छ, जुन विषय पढे पनि मन लगाएर पढ्छु, घर छाड्दिन भनेको छु ।”

धेरै विद्यार्थी र अभिभावकको सोचाइ विज्ञान, इञ्जिनीयर, ओभरसियर तथा प्राविधिक विषय पढ्ने हुन्छ तर कतिपय अभिभावक र जानकार भने जुनसुकै विषय अध्ययन गर्ने तथा अब्बल विद्यार्थी बन्ने भएकाले त्यही राम्रो हुने बताउँछन् । सगुन विद्या निकेतन टीकापुरका प्रधानाध्यापक अशोक पाण्डे विषय कुनै ठुलो सानो नहुने बताउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “साधारण विषय अध्ययन गरेर विज्ञता प्राप्त गर्न सके भोलिको भविष्य सुनिश्चित हुन्छ”, उहाँ भन्नुहुन्छ, “आफूले पढ्नसक्ने विषय छनोट गर्नुपर्छ, नेपाली, अङ्ग्रेजी, गणित, शिक्षाजस्ता जुनसुकै विषयमा मन लगाएर पढेमा सफलता पाउन सकिन्छ ।”

पछिल्लो समय प्राविधिक विषयको माग र आवश्यकता बढी देखिन्छ । रोजगारका दृष्टिकोणले पनि प्राविधिक विषयमा मानिसको आकर्षण बढ्दो छ । प्राविधिक विषय बाहेकका साधारण विषय पढेर पनि उत्कृष्टता हासिल गर्न सकिने त्रिभुवन मावि बटनपुरका प्रधानाध्यापक रवीन्द्र कठायतले बताउनुभयो । “एसईईको नतिजापछि विद्यार्थीमा साथीभाइले नै पढेको विषय पढ्न चाहने र त्यो विषय अध्ययन गर्न नपाए पढाइ नै छाड्ने प्रवृत्ति देखिनु गलत हो”, उहाँ भन्नुहुन्छ, “विषय सबै एकै हुन्, साधारण विषय अध्ययन गरेर पनि दख्खल राख्न सके त्यही राम्रो हुन्छ, प्राविधिक विषय पढ्दा रोजगारीका अवसर सहजै पाइन्छन् ।”

उहाँले भनेजस्तै खासमा विषय राम्रो र नराम्रो हुँदैन । सबै विषयको उत्तिकै महत्व र आवश्यकता छ । समाजमा साधारण विषय लिएर पनि सरकारी जागिर खाएका थुप्रै उदाहरण रहेकाले कम ग्रेड आउनेबित्तिकै आत्तिनुपर्ने र आगामी योजना नै त्याग्नु गलत भएको विज्ञहरुको सुझाव छ । “जुनसुकै विषय अध्ययन गरे पनि दक्षता हासिल गर्ने हो भने भोलिको भविष्य सुनौलो हुन्छ”, शैक्षिक क्षेत्रका जानकार तथा पूर्व शिक्षक भक्तिराम कोइराला भन्नुहुन्छ, “कमजोर विद्यार्थीले जटिल विषय अध्ययन गर्दा उसको पढाइमा समस्या हुनसक्छ, विद्यार्थीले सक्ने र उसको रुचि अनुसारको जुनसुकै विषय पढ्दा पनि हुन्छ, विषय कुनै कम महत्वको हुँदैन, राम्रो गरेमा जुन विषयमा पनि सफलता पाउन सकिन्छ ।” रासस
